An all year round event climate
This is without exception the best climate in the whole of the continent and Spain, above all in winter – ideal for your event.
There is sunshine almost every day of the year, right through the depths of winter and more than anywhere else in continental Spain. The area boasts a year round average of a full nine hours of sunshine a day.
The long term average total rainfall is less than 20cm per year. In the last few years it has been around 10 cm a year!
In winter, the average maximum daily temperature is 19°C (67°f) from October through March. In Summer, it is cooler up on the plateau at Desert Springs, which enjoys fresh sea breezes direct from the nearby Mediterranean Sea.
Quick & easy flying to the Almanzora …
Just 2.5 hours flight from the UK a very different experience awaits you
Desert Springs in the Almanzora valley is served by 3 airports. There are regular, scheduled and ‘budget’ flights to these locations from most UK airports. There are good car, minibus and coach hire facilities at all the Spanish locations.
- Almeria International Airport is about 50 minutes drive.
- Murcia International Airport is about 80 minutes drive.
- Alicante International Airport is about 120 minutes drive.
All via little trafficked motorways in attractive countryside.
