Exchange Busting Discounts

The developers of Desert Springs, Villaricos and Playa Marques are currently offering 25% to 30%+ discounts off the List Price of every single new property for a limited period of time in order to compensate for the falls in the value of the pound sterling against the Euro.

The Spanish Ministry of Development have announced a reduction of 50% in the IVA (VAT) applicable to the purchase of NEW properties only, from 8% to 4%. This offer is only valid for purchases of NEW properties through to and inclusive of 31st December 2011.

This announcement will have a significant effect on property sales, as the savings are substantial in relative terms at all price levels providing VAT savings of between €5,000 to €20,000 for Apartments, Townhouses and Beach Houses at Villaricos and Playa Marqués on the coast and from €10,000 up to €35,000 for Apartments, Cottages and Villas at Desert Springs Resort.

There is not a lot of time left until the end of the year when this offer of a significant saving will be removed. Furthermore, the present existence of such great savings for new properties at Desert Springs Playa Marqués and Villaricos will more than likely be reduced as a consequence of the anticipated reaction from the market of prospective purchasers with whom we are in communication with.
